Have you ever wondered how churches work?
How do churches pay for the expenses associated with their various ministries? How do they pay for building upkeep, pay salaries, and raise funds to support important causes?
The answer is simple: people give to churches. Churches are funded by the generosity of people. Church payments and donations are the fuel that keeps the church engine running. For many, also, giving is an act of faith and a spiritual discipline. So thank you for visiting this page and considering a donation to the First Congregational Church of Fairhaven.
Your donation will help cover:
- Support for Local and Global Missions — we use a meaningful portion of donations to fund charitable activities. We run a food pantry, contribute regularly for disaster relief, support local soup kitchens and homeless shelters, and support global missions such as the Heifer International.
- Operational Costs — utility bills, salaries for the pastor and employees, supplies and equipment.
- Building Upkeep — requires steady funding for repairs and maintenance to the building, heating system, fixing/replacing appliances, painting, and so forth.
Anyone who would like to give to First Congregational Church of Fairhaven will soon be able to so from this website … more information to follow.
We will also continue to take an offering during the service for people who prefer to give by cash or check. You can also mail a check!
And thank you for supporting our church.
