Make a Joyful Noise
Music is very important in our church. It is presented in a variety of styles for the spiritual enrichment of the congregation. Our musical groups include:
The Adult Choir is a volunteer group that sings mainly three/four part choral music of many styles. This group is open to all singers and rehearses one evening each week and on Sunday morning before the worship service. The group provides and anthem and support for congregational singing at services from mid September to mid June. The Adult Choir also provides special music for Christmas Eve and Easter celebrations along with an occasional choral concert.
The Kids' Choir is open to any child who enjoys singing. They rehearse on Sunday mornings following the worship service for about 1/2 hour. The repertoire and musical offerings vary with the age and ability of the group.
The Instrumental Ensemble, comprised of mainly brass and woodwind instruments, is a volunteer group that plays sacred instrumental music in many different styles. This group is open to musicians of all ages.
Small Vocal Groups An opportunity exists for singers to present music in smaller ensembles to enrich our music program and to provide special music on those Sundays that the choir is not singing. These groups are assembled by the singers at the discretion of the Director of Music.
Anyone with a musical gift is encouraged to share at any time. Please speak with the Director of Music or the Pastor.
